Instant Noodle Mac and Cheese

Today I make Mac and Cheese with local Instant Noodle “Indomie”.

Ingredients :

  • I package of Instant Noodle
  • 70 gr grated cheddar cheese + more for topping
  • 200 milk
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • Salt to taste

Method :

  1. Cook the instant noodle according to the package directions.
  2. In a pan, melt the butter. Add in flour and stir fry it, and then slowly add the milk [divide into several times].
  3. Add in the grated cheddar cheese and mix well.
  4. Add in salt to taste and mix well.
  5. In a baking pan or ramekin, pour the cooked instant noodle at the bottom.
  6. Pour the cheese sauce on top of the cooked noodle and then top with some grated cheddar cheese.
  7. Bake until the top shows golden brown color.
  8. Serve and Enjoy!

Savory vs Sweet Brick Toast

The idea of making brick toast comes from my food experience in Tokyo, The Shibuya Honey Toast!

Personally, I love the sweet brick toast than the savory toast. How about you? Which one do you prefer?

These are the ingredients that I use for the brick toasts :

Ingredients for Savory Brick Toast :

  • 1 small block of Sandwich Bread
  • 2 egg whites and 1 egg yolk
  • 5 tbsp of grated cheddar cheese
  • 3-4 slices of bakwa/pork
  • baked bread squares

Method :

  1. First slice the inner part of a block of sandwich bread, take out the mold and slice it into squares.
  2. Spread butter inside the molds and bread squares.
  3. Fill the inner part of the block sandwich bread with bread squares, two egg whites, one egg yolk, cheddar cheese and 4 slices of bakwa/pork.
  4. Toast the bread for about 8-10 minutes.
  5. Serve and Enjoy!

Ingredients for Sweet Brick Toast :

  • 1 small block of Sandwich Bread
  • Chunky peanut butter spread
  • 1 banana
  • Honey for drizzle
  • Baked bread squares
  • Few slices of bakwa/pork

Method :

  1. First slice the inner part of a block of sandwich bread, take out the mold and slice it into squares.
  2. Spread butter inside the molds and bread squares.
  3. Spread chunky peanut butter spread at the bottom of the sandwich bread block, fill in few slices of bakwa/pork and toast them for few minutes or until the sandwich bread show brown color.
  4. Fill the toasted bread box with banana and drizzle with honey.
  5. Serve and Enjoy!

Smoothies 

One of my favorite drinks beside sprite and coffee is smoothie. I mean its healthy, right? do you agree? haha. 

A couple weeks ago, I made a smoothie the night before and then drink it the next morning. For one week, I drank smoothie in the morning and I feel very refreshing and healthy at the same time and some more, smoothies are very easy to make and you can use any kind of ingredients like fruits, veggies, you name it.

So, today I am going to share with you recipe of my homemade smoothie! So lets start!

Ingredients : 

  • Milk
  • Fruits or Veggies (you choose! :)) For these smoothies, I use grapes, strawberries, celeries, banana and apples!

Method : Blend the both ingredients until smooth.

Overnight Oatmeal.

Recently I’ve started a new instagram account where I share photos of my homemade food at home. This idea comes  to my mind because I want to practice my baking and cooking skills. My concept is to incorporate one ingredient to my homemade food for 6 days straight. After 6 days, I am going to change the ingredient.

So after trying for 2 months, I see a little bit improvement in my cooking and baking skills. and I say to myself why not share some of the recipes to the blog.

For this week, the ingredient I am going to use is rolled oats. And so here I am. Today I am going to share with you the recipe of my simple homemade overnight oatmeal.a

Ingredients :

  • 4 tbsp rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup of water
  • 1/2 cup of apple yogurt
  • 1/2 cup of sliced mango

Method :

  1. Mix all the ingredients in a jar and put in the fridge overnight.
  2. Serve and Enjoy.
