Passion Fruit Pound Cake

A few weeks ago, my aunt made a bottle of fresh passion fruit pulp and stored in the fridge.

A few days ago, I opened the fridge and saw the passion fruit pulp and it’s still fresh and full, which means no one drank or use or make a juice out of it. So, I decided to make something out of this fresh passion fruit pulp. I think there’s lot of things that you can make out of passion fruit pulps and out of all these things, I decided to make a passion fruit pound cake.

Never eat pound cake before nor did I ever make a passion fruit cake. So I told myself “well, today is a good day, lets make a passion fruit pound cake”

Ingredients :

  • 280 gr sugar
  • 100 gr softened unsalted butter
  • 200 gr eggs
  • 300 gr all purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 260 ml passion fruit pulp

Method :

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degree celcius.
  2. Grease a round cake pan with butter or margarine.
  3. In a bowl, mix sugar, softened butter and eggs until they are well combined.
  4. Sift in the flour and baking powder. Mix them with the egg mixture.
  5. Fold in the passion fruit pulp.
  6. ┬áPour the batter into the cake pan and bake for about 50 – 55 minutes.
  7. Let it cool on a pan for 10 minutes before cooling the cake completely on a cooling rack.
  8. Serve and Enjoy!

Apple Crumble

Ingredients :

A. Base and Top :

  • 300 gr all purpose flour
  • 80 gr margarine
  • 100 gr sugar
  • 7 gr baking powder
  • 55 gr egg


B. Filling :

  • 2 apples
  • 35 gr┬ámargarine
  • 80 gr sugar
  • 3 tbsp lemon juice

Method :

  1. In a bowl, mix flour, margarine, sugar, baking powder and egg. Mix until it shows crumble texture. Wrap the bowl using a plastic wrap and store in the freezer until they are ready to use.
  2. Peel and slice the apple thinly, and put them in a pan along with margarine and sugar and cook them until the apples are soft and tender.
  3. Take out the crumbles mixture from the freezer.
  4. Preheat the oven to 180 degree celcius.
  5. Line bottom of baking pans with parchment paper and pour half of the crumble into the baking pan. Using your hand or spatula or spoon to press down the crumbles.
  6. Spread the apple filling on top of the crumble and then sprinkle the top with the remaining crumbles.
  7. Bake for 20-35 minutes.
  8. Take out from the oven and enjoy!
