Pizza

I never make a pizza before even though I love to bake. I heard that pizza is one of the easiest thing that you could make at home [well, actually I heard it from my older sister], and so one Sunday afternoon I decided to make my own small pizza.

Ingredients :

  • 180 gr sifted bread flour
  • 100 ml warm water
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 2 gr salt
  • 3 gr instant yeast
  • 15 gr sugar
  • Shredded chicken, japanese curry powder (S&B), cube carrots, Kraft cheese slices [toppings]

Method :

  1. In a small bowl, mix instant yeast and warm water. Set aside.
  2. In another bowl, mix bread flour and salt and sugar. Pour the warm water mixture and 1 tbsp oil into the bowl. Knead the dough until it becomes smooth.
  3. Place the dough in greased bowl and cover it with plastic wrap or cloth and let it rest for 1 hour or until the dough is doubled.
  4. Start to cook the carrots with the curry powder [following the instruction from the curry powder package].
  5. Preheat the oven to 220 degree celcius.
  6. Dust the working table with corn meal and roll the dough on top of it, leaving a 1 cm thickness at the sides.
  7. Spread the toppings [curry, carrots, shredded chicken and cheese slices].
  8. Bake the pizza for 15 – 20 minutes [Depending on the type of oven].
  9. Serve and Enjoy!

Unpretty Bagels

Ingredients :

  • 300 gr bread flour
  • 6 gr salt
  • 10 gr sugar
  • 2 gr instant yeast
  • 190 gr warm water

Method :

  1. In a bowl, pour 190 gr warm water and 2 gr yeast and set aside.
  2. In another bowl, sift in bread flour, and mix it with salt and sugar, until they form a kind of smooth texture dough.
  3. Once the dough forms a smooth texture, put in a bowl and cover it and let it rest for 1 hour or until the size of the dough doubled.
  4. Once the dough is doubled, punch the dough so as to let the gas out. Cut the dough into 4 pieces. For me, each piece weigh approximately 117 gr. Using your hand, form the small pieces of dough into a small ball and make a small hole in the middle of the dough. Let it rest for about 30 minutes or until doubled.
  5. Preheat the oven to 180 degree celcius.
  6. Bake for about 20-30 minutes.
  7. Let it cool on a cooling rack.
  8. Serve and Enjoy

Soy Sauce Egg Yolk

Ingredients :

  • 1 cup of rice
  • 1 egg  yolk
  • 5-6 tbsp soy sauce (depends on your preference)
  • 1 small package of seaweed

Method :

  1. Crack an egg, and put the egg yolk into a glass bowl.
  2. Pour the soy sauce into the bowl and cover the bowl. Refrigerate for one day or overnight.
  3. Cook rice.
  4. After covering the bowl for a day or overnight in the fridge, using a spoon, put the egg yolk on top of the cooked rice. Pour the soy sauce and seaweed. Mix rice, egg yolk, soy sauce and seaweed until they are well combined.
  5. Serve and Enjoy!

Apple Crumble

Ingredients :

A. Base and Top :

  • 300 gr all purpose flour
  • 80 gr margarine
  • 100 gr sugar
  • 7 gr baking powder
  • 55 gr egg

 

B. Filling :

  • 2 apples
  • 35 gr margarine
  • 80 gr sugar
  • 3 tbsp lemon juice

Method :

  1. In a bowl, mix flour, margarine, sugar, baking powder and egg. Mix until it shows crumble texture. Wrap the bowl using a plastic wrap and store in the freezer until they are ready to use.
  2. Peel and slice the apple thinly, and put them in a pan along with margarine and sugar and cook them until the apples are soft and tender.
  3. Take out the crumbles mixture from the freezer.
  4. Preheat the oven to 180 degree celcius.
  5. Line bottom of baking pans with parchment paper and pour half of the crumble into the baking pan. Using your hand or spatula or spoon to press down the crumbles.
  6. Spread the apple filling on top of the crumble and then sprinkle the top with the remaining crumbles.
  7. Bake for 20-35 minutes.
  8. Take out from the oven and enjoy!
